Our family received the aMazing Bible: The Maze Game of Biblical Proportions from Digital Praise. Here's what they have to say:
"This mesmerizing maze game lets you travel through time and be an eyewitness to the Bible - from Genesis through Revelation. Overcome each maze by zigzagging your way through walls, pushing through blockades and weaving your way past the ongoing myriad of challenges. Feel the excitement build as each level unfolds a different story in God's Holy Word."
- Includes 105 mazes of increasing difficulty.
- After each maze, read the greatest stories of the Bible.
- The MazeMaker allows you to create your own challenging mazes.
- Play for a few minutes or a few hours
- The perfect addition to your family game night
- It's a high adventure in the amazing Word of God
Our Family Review
We popped in our disc and loaded up the game. My 6 yr old was all over it. After it loads, it introduces you to how the program works. Then it gives you the introduction to Genesis. There was a lot to read and Doodle was ready to move on to the maze. My boys are maze fanatics! The first several were pretty easy to navigate.
No, these aren't your typical mazes. You have to navigate 2 spheres through each maze and that means you have to figure out how to make the spheres fit in sync. As you level up, the maze gets harder, but more fun. You get to ram into objects to break them open to give your sphere spots to move through. You'll see the 2 sphere's Doodle is navigating through this maze. He has to get them lined up into those black stations. Another photo shows him blasting through one of the blocks!
I decided that it would be to easy to let Doodle just go from maze to maze and ignore the Bible story that appears before each new level. Now he has to read one right when he starts and then more as he spends time playing. I know he'd get frustrated having to try and read each story. Now my 10 yr old is a different matter altogether. He can easily read through each story before the maze.
The graphics are fantastic and easy to use. My boys LOVE this game! I know that the next thing they'll be doing is creating their own mazes. Of couse, they'll have to out-do each other so this could go on for a long time!
Do you have an iPhone? If so, there is an aMazing Bible app for it! How awesome is that? This would be a great disctraction for your kids if you're somewhere they need it. Check the iPhone app out in this YouTube video. It will give you an idea of how the computer game works also
This software is available for both the Mac and Windows Systems.
