From Olay & MyBlogSpark:
Let´s face it; we all want our skin to look as youthful as possible at any age. With so many moisturizing and anti-aging products available, knowing which one will really keep your skin looking and feeling its best may be overwhelming.
Luckily, the solution is easy with Olay Total Effects. New Olay Total Effects Body Wash - Deep Penetrating Moisture, one of the newest additions to the line, can help your skin look visibly younger with an appearance that´s more resilient to aging.
Olay´s most advanced body wash, Total Effects goes beyond cleansing to deeply moisturize and fight 7 signs of aging all over your body by helping to improve elasticity, relieve dryness, deeply moisturize, brighten dull skin, even skin tone, smooth rough skin, and minimize the appearance of dry lines.
With jojoba butter and VitaNiacin, Olay Total Effects Body Wash - Deep Penetrating Moisture can help you get soft, smooth skin in one shower, improved elasticity in one week, and young-looking, radiant skin in one month. Proven effective in fighting multiple signs of aging, the exclusive VitaNiacin formula helps rejuvenate and beautify your skin while improving the condition of the skin´s moisture barrier. Also available is the Olay Total Effects Body Wash - Exfoliating and Replenish, which has micro-derm beads and VitaNiacin to help keep you looking and feeling young.
My Review
First of all, the bottle design is very appealing. I love the look of it and that it fits so well in my hands.
The fragrance is very appealing, too. It’s a light scent that stays on my skin long after I’ve gotten out of the shower, which I like. I like smelling clean!
The texture is smooth and thick! I really liked how it lathered up on my puff. The nice part, you don’t have to use a lot for it to go a long way! Honestly, I wish I’d have had this product in January/March because my skin was so dry in the Minnesota winter. This is the first year my legs have been itchy. I could tell an immediate difference after my first shower. My skin was moisturized and no more itching!
Required: Tell me one way you keep your skin moisturized in the winter.

I have this awful smelling stuff called Crack Cream that I use during the winter. It works but it's pretty gross.
ReplyDeleteI make a mixture of baby oil and H20 and spray that on myself after I step out of the shower. Really works!

I'm a nurse and my hands get SOOOO dry in the winter--each night, I slather them with vaseline, polysporin, or Burt's Bees hand therapy (depending on if I have cuts on them or not). Then, I wear gloves over them to hold the lotion in.
Vaseline is cheap and works wonders on hands and feet!
ReplyDeleteI use moisturizer first thing in the morning after washing my face. I then reapply as necessary.
ReplyDeleteI use a moisturizer.

During the winter months, I literally soak my body with lotion/moisturizer to keep it from getting so dry. My hands are the worst, so I probably apply lotion 3 - 4 times a day. At least I smell good!!!!!! Thanks for the giveaway, Tammy gordonfan@embarqmail.com

I have horribly dry skin year-round, and winter is the worst. What works for me is the Aveeno serum for my face... Aveeno lavender body wash and lotion for my body... and Aveeno hand cream. LOL, think I've become brand loyal? (I normally use whatever I get the best deal on, but not when it comes to my skin!)

Hey! During the winter I try to not take really hot showers even though I love them it will dry your skin out! And I use Moisture Therapy Lotion from AVON (I'm a rep).
ReplyDeleteI can't believe how many of you actually DO something in the winter!! So many vaseline users! I can be found trying to rummage through my girls awesome collection of lotions for a thick one. Shannon, I love my hot showers and tell myself, "you shouldn't be doing this."
ReplyDeleteMy oldest daughter started using Vaseline Intensive Therapy with socks when she was like 13.
Amy, I just received a bottle of Aveeno lotion and am LOVING it!
At work I constantly wash my hands b/c I work at a dirty hardware store!
I kid you not, this Olay leaves the feeling of lotion being on your body, in a good way. I noticed it mostly on my legs, which for the 1st time were super itchy & dry this winter!
~Mimi
I use body cream or body butter (something heavy) to keep my dry skin moisturized in the winter.

I've heard of putting A&D ointment on dry patches and that helped my daughter's eczema more than OTC eczema creams. Also, my friend is a nurse and they use zinc oxide on skin breakdown so she tried desitin on eczema that wouldn't go away and it worked:)
