Maybelline SuperStay 24™ 2-Step Lipcolor Giveaway

One of my goals this year is to get in touch with my “feminine” side. I haven’t ever seen much of that side, but I’d like to try it out. One ways I’m doing that is using make-up like Maybelline SuperStay 24™ 2-Step Lipcolor.

As part of BzzAgent I was sent 4 shades from each line: Reds, Plums, Pinks, and Naturals. I decided I’d try the Wear On Wildberry because it’s closest to the “red” I like to wear.

So I started out applying the Lipcolor around 1:30pm. It took the two minutes to dry, like it says it will. Then I applied the top coat balm. About an hour later I noticed my lips felt a bit grainy, but after I wiped it off, I didn’t feel that again for the rest of the day.

By about 5pm I thought I’d check and see how the Lipcolor was doing. I could tell that the original color had faded some but it was still very visible on my lips. Visible enough that when I got to church my friend said, “You have lipstick on!”

We got home, around 8pm, and it was once again time to check how the color was doing. Definitely was fading. I was kind of surprised at how much it had faded.I didn’t have to worry about if the Maybelline SuperStay 24™ 2-Step Lipcolor transferred because I don’t have anyone to transfer it to other than my boys. By the time they were put to bed, I had so little left on my lips, giving the boys kisses goodnight wouldn’t have transferred any color.

In the morning I checked one more time and there was no sign that I had ever put the Lipcolor on. You can’t really tell because the photo is yellowed because the bathroom was still kind of dark, but it was gone.

So, I realize that it’s supposed to last 24 hours. Maybe I do too much licking and rubbing of my lips together. Charlotte Willer, make-up artist does state, “You can eat, dance, sweat, kiss and even sleep and I promise it will last.”

What I can say though, it lasted long enough for me in the sense that it would last an entire work day.
