I wish we were close enough to spend that Sunday with our families, either going out for a Mother’s Day brunch or having a wonderful brunch at home. Just being together is what I miss on this day.
I know I could send her a Mother’s Day Card, and I do, but there’s nothing like being in the same room letting her see how much she’s loved, in person. Sometimes spending that time with your mom is what makes the entire day special, at least that’s what I imagine.
How many of you moms have a personalized photo gift? Mine are everywhere. Why? Because they mean so much to me. At least when they’re little I know that I’m loved. hahahahaha The kids are still so innocent when making tissue paper flowers or a booklet of coupons. Does anyone ever redeem those coupons? I can’t imagine tearing them out!
How are you spending Mother’s Day? Will you be getting together with your mom? Are you hoping for anything special to celebrate your role as a mom?
Make sure you keep an eye out for the Mother’s Day event that will be happening from May 5-10th. Shutterfly will be participating!
I haven't celebrated with my mom since I moved Below the Mason Dixon Line! The kids and I have, for the past few years, gone on a Family Camp weekend with church, which is a wonderful way to not feel sorry for myself :)
ReplyDeleteThese photo albums are fabulous... I get one for my mom for her birthday each year!
Great idea. I haven't thought that much about it yet.
