Happy Mother’s Day from Shutterfly

shutterfly There are certain holidays where I wish I were closer physically to my family than others. One of them would be Mother’s Day. I haven’t celebrated Mother’s Day with my mom for over 20 yrs. Can you imagine? Sure it’s not a major holiday and no one gets a paid day off.

I wish we were close enough to spend that Sunday with our families, either going out for a Mother’s Day brunch or having a wonderful brunch at home. Just being together is what I miss on this day.

I know I could send her a Mother’s Day Card, and I do, but there’s nothing like being in the same room letting her see how much she’s loved, in person. Sometimes spending that time with your mom is what makes the entire day special, at least that’s what I imagine.
shutterfly Photo gifts For myself, when my kids were all in the same house we’d do a Mother’s Day brunch and it was a great day. Not because it was focused on me, per se, but because we were focused on family.

How many of you moms have a personalized photo gift? Mine are everywhere. Why? Because they mean so much to me. At least when they’re little I know that I’m loved. hahahahaha The kids are still so innocent when making tissue paper flowers or a booklet of coupons. Does anyone ever redeem those coupons? I can’t imagine tearing them out!shutterfly photo books I know that one of the gifts I’d like to give my mom since we can’t be with her for this special holiday to recognize how much she means to us is a Mother’s Day photo book! Trust me, I have enough photos of my kids to fill up a LOT of photos books. Besides, what grandma doesn’t want to show off her grandkids, right?

How are you spending Mother’s Day? Will you be getting together with your mom? Are you hoping for anything special to celebrate your role as a mom?

Make sure you keep an eye out for the Mother’s Day event that will be happening from May 5-10th. Shutterfly will be participating!

  1. I haven't celebrated with my mom since I moved Below the Mason Dixon Line! The kids and I have, for the past few years, gone on a Family Camp weekend with church, which is a wonderful way to not feel sorry for myself :)

These photo albums are fabulous... I get one for my mom for her birthday each year!
