Shutterfly Graduation Products & Giveaway

My second daughter will be graduating from high school this year and I knew Shutterfly would be the perfect place to get her Graduation Announcement for her party. Smooch is having a party with 2 other girls she’s grown up so it’s going to be a big party!

I’ve already received their invitations and they both ordered theirs from Shutterfly as well! Well, I know that because I had to find out who they used. Tell me I’m not the only one who turns over a photo invitation to see where they were made?

The hardest part about choosing an invitation was picking the one we wanted to use. I actually made about 5 cards, flat and folded, and let her choose which one she wanted. Of course then you have to find the “right” photo(s) to use for the card. That wasn’t easy either. That’s why I loved the folded card I made because I could put about 9 photos on the entire card. Yes, that included the inside.

I did hide my daughter’s name and her high school name for her privacy. I also changed the initial in the circle.

So, how does this process work? You create a Shutterfly account, which I already have, and you start searching for the card you want to create. The nice thing about Shutterfly is that after you choose the type of card you want, on the left sidebar, you are given options to decrease the number of cards you’re looking at by color, size, type, etc. I was able to weed out the ones I wasn’t interested in and that made my job easier.

The editing process is easy and simple. One thing my daughter and I both wished was that we could change the color of certain boxes or stripes. The actual color of the card is what you have to stick with, which includes the design. There were a few 5x7 cards I really liked but the colors didn’t match our school or there was no way my daughter would’ve liked the color in general.

When you’re done ordering your project you come to a page where you have the chance to earn $10 off your next order simply by embedding it on a blog or website! How cool is that if you have one of those? You can also share it with everyone you’re connected to on Facebook by clicking a button. I did that so everyone could see what they’d be getting in the next couple of weeks!
