Fun da-middles from Betty Crocker Giveaway

With birthdays coming up this month for my boys, I was excited to try out the new Betty Crocker Fun-da-Middles to see if they’d work for their parties! Oh goodness, they’ll be perfect!
Buddy and I made these together. With them being out of school I thought baking might be a fun way to spend an afternoon. It was so nice to see his excitement when it came to being in the kitchen with me!

To make it easy I got the ingredients all laid out for him and we set to work. Thankfully, the recipe is simple. He tried doing the cream for the center, but he was nervous about not getting it on the sides and asked me to do it instead. Well, I wasn’t doing much better than he was. It’s a bit tricky, but if you cut the hole small enough for the cream to get out, but not too big for it to “blob” then I think it’ll all be good.
One of the funnier moments came when Buddy was using the mixer. He had to do it on “Low” for 30 seconds and then “Beat” for 2 minutes. About a minute into the beating, I can see his hand drooping. I asked him if he was doing ok and he was just wondering how much longer he had to do it! So, I guess he needs to spend more time in the kitchen baking and cooking so that a mixer doesn’t tire him out after just a minute and a half!
My Doodle had one after they cooled down and declared that we’d be having Fun da-Middles for his birthday party next week instead of cake! Unfortunately, they aren’t in stores yet so it looks like we’ll have to wait on that one! I know looking at those fun cupcakes you’re ready to win a box for yourself! Well, here’s your chance.
