Wordless Wednesday: July 4th Craziness

We got to spend the day with extended family from Chicago. Unfortunately, all the activities they used to have in the small town we were staying didn’t have a thing for the kids to do other than the playground. It was such a disappointment.

On the lake for the boat parade.IMG_7321 Then the pirate ship attacked…everyone. It was a free for all, but we’ll be prepared next year!IMG_7348 Waiting for the fireworks to start.IMG_7387

The fireworks lasted about 15 minutes. So fast for the 3 hours we were in town! Next year we wait until dusk.IMG_7431

Make sure to visit these other Wordless Wednesday participants: Mom Spotted, My Wee View, and Mama Dweeb.

  3. Boat parade sounds like fun. Sorry things didn't go so well for you. I didn't even time our fireworks but I think they lasted longer than 15 minutes. They do an awesome job. Unfortunately after a few pictures I was out of memory card space.

  4. I love watching fireworks . . . unfortunately this year I missed them because of a friend's kid who had her own fireworks. Don't ask.

  11. That is a long wait for the fireworks! We missed them b/c my near-4 year old refused to nap and was zonked in bed by 730pm. Happy belated 4th of July!
