When I was in NYC I was blessed to go to a private event with Hallmark. There I learned about Text Bands. lol I saw those, especially the Star Wars bands, and I knew I had to get some of those!!
When I came home, I was sent two Text Bands for my boys to review. I wasn’t sure if my enthusiasm would carry over to them. These boys who are so crazy with their tech-savvy ways! Well, they showed me immediately that Text Bands are right up their alley.
Buddy used it first with me. He was clicking away immediately while I was still searching for the On button. Not even kidding. Yes, there were directions, no I didn’t read them. He was already entering his text while I was still trying to figure it out.
He and I get our texts into the Bands and fist bump. It was SO cool. The texts changed bands and we could see the message the other one wrote! Of course we immediately started texting more.
Doodle came home a little while later to see Buddy and I trying to High 5 each other with our Bands on. You can shake hands, fist bump or High 5 and the messages will change as you do.
I gave him my Band and the boys were off to the races. Yah, no loving, sweet texts were exchanged. Their texts to each other were more along the lines of “You smell” and that kind of brotherly love. lol
What I was thrilled with, was Doodle asked if he could take them for sharing day at school. He’s in 4th grade and he enjoys that they can still bring in items for show & tell. He and his teacher used the Text Bands to demonstrate how they work and I guess she thought they were pretty nifty!
Now my Doodle is sharing the Text Bands with our neighbor kids. lol What I’m looking forward to is getting the extra bands, most specifically the Star Wars ones. Both of my boys will LOVE it! If you check out Text Bands you’ll see they have a great variety of bands. They also have some fun game suggestions you can do as a group with the Text Bands.
I’ll be giving away TWO sets of Text Band Set from Hallmark! Exciting!!!!!
Now, here’s the bonus, I got a couple of cute products at BlogHer from the Hallmark Suite and I wanted to share them with a lucky winner. You’ll receive from me the Bug ‘Em so you can fill it up with goodies and send it to school with your child and Lunch Notes for Kids (not the book behind the Notes) so you can send an encouraging note, too! I used to do that all the time and need to start doing it again!
*I received the Text Bands for review purposes. The opinions expressed are my own and never influenced by the company.
