Pumpkin carving is fun for the entire family…mostly. Buddy and I dive right in while Doodle…he’d rather not touch the pumpkin guts. It’s rather amusing. Never in his 9 yrs has he ever liked the feeling. Of course that only encourages bad behavior from me and his brother. Ok, not this time from me, but teasing with guts from his brother. =)
I seriously had to use a HAMMER to get the top off of this thing. The knife just wouldn’t cut it…literally!

This is Doodle’s pumpkin. The left eye has a scar. =)
Unfortunately, we did one of those templates with Buddy’s pumpkin and pieces of it were so close it started breaking apart. His dad picked him up a pumpkin last night so he can carve it tonight!

Love the hand comparison pictures - so funny! My two year old wouldn't touch the pumpkin guts for anything either while my oldest dug right in.... kids are so funny :)
We still have to cut ours.. we are so late. Have to do it right before trick or treating ..
those boys are doing a much better job than I ever did. ;-)
I finally bought some pumpkins MOnday, but we havne't carved them yet...not sure when that is going to happen!

I don't like the guts either, I always put a grocery store plastic bag on my hand to pull the goo out and the fam. makes fun of me.

That's one thing I think would be fun about Halloween, carving pumpkins. We don't do Halloween though, so I get to just enjoy seeing these pics from all of you girls!! :)

Looks like you had a great time! We don't carve pumpkins, because the heat just makes them deteriorate that much faster here. We paint them. Later, we'll take out the seeds, clean them and roast them, and I'll bake the pumpkin for pies, and pumpkin bread....
I would totally have to tease him with the guts too, they are the best part! :)
Dont worry CJ's daddy teased him with the guts, and bet him $5.00 to touch it... Guess who owes CJ $5.00... :D
