I had no clue what was going on with people talking about going to the store to buy Hostess products. I’m so out of the loop it seems. I was told by someone in a Facebook group that they had gone out of business. I was shocked! I hoped when I got to the store the next day they’d at least have Twinkies or Cupcakes left. I have yet to find a box of Twinkies. But here’s what I did find!
Be sure to check out Full Time Mama for her WW post, too!
Did you stock up on any Hostess snacks!
I love their powdered donnettes and of course Twinkies but they are still in talks to work everything out or other company's are offering to buy some of the product names so hopefully we will all still be able to get our sweet!
ReplyDeleteA wonderful find! Looks yummy! Thanks for hosting.
ReplyDeleteThey aren't selling off just yet. They decided to try and work things out. I'm sure someone will buy the brand.
ReplyDeleteI know! I'm so bummed!! :(
ReplyDeleteI hated hearing about hostess. My dad and I were munching on some of their doughnuts when i found out it was true! My bosses dad was a baker there for like 35-40 years.... :(
ReplyDeleteI'm so envious!! LOL! There was nothing really left here when I finally did go. Cupcakes are my absolute FAVORITE, followed closely by Ding Dongs. lol
ReplyDeleteYou got a great stash there! I hear they've made a deal with their bakers to get back to it though, so we'll get them again! :)
My husband is American (we live in the UK) last weekend a friend from the USA came to visit, to my husbands great delight they bought him Hostess products.

YUM! I don't like Twinkies anyway, but I like all the other stuff. Lucky you... we checked a few places and can't find any of it!
ReplyDeleteOh my!! Yes, I think it is the end of an era.
ReplyDeleteI'm really gonna miss the twinkie! I don't eat them much, but they are a fav of mine. I snatched up one box when I heard it on the news last week. ;)
ReplyDeleteI never eat twinkies or hohos or frosted donuts, but I am always saddened to hear a company go out of business. It always means more people out of work.
ReplyDeleteI love Hostess Ding Dongs. I think it's sad we wont see them again, but something tells me they will come back again.
ReplyDeleteI hate that they are going out of business (for the employees sake), but honestly I'm not a fan of their products. Now if we're talking about Little Debbie... that's more up my alley! :)
ReplyDeleteFrom what I've been hearing you're pretty lucky! I see what you guys are having after turkey huh? :) HAPPY THANKSGIVING.
ReplyDeleteGive me those cupcakes!!! LOL.
