The Answer to My Dry Skin: Dove Body Wash #DoveTruth

When I moved from Minnesota to Virginia, I thought most of my worries about dry skin would be gone. I knew it was warmer here than in frigid Minnesota and we’re just a few hours from the Ocean. I hadn’t expected it to be exactly the same for my skin.

I hadn’t run out of my old body wash when we first got here, so when I did I pulled out the Dove Body Wash I had brought with me from our old home. The hope was, it would put some moisture back into my skin from my showers. Thankfully, I noticed an immediate improvement. In fact, one day, a few hours after I had taken my shower, I was rubbing my hands together wondering why they felt smooth trying to remember if I’d put lotion on. Of course then I remembered the Dove Body Wash!

What Dove Body Wash has done is improve their formula by combining the brand’s mildest cleansers with NutriumMoisture. This is definitely felt on my skin. And I’m thankful that it’s one of the mildest ones on the market. Who needs a harsh body wash? blech!

Now, I know that when you use a milder body wash, you tend to get less lather, but that’s not the case here. And thankfully, it rinses cleanly. I don’t feel like I have soap on my skin still, but a complete clean! I know having well water that can be pretty tough on the skin and thankfully, Dove has stood up against it wonderfully!

Ok, so, this is totally an aside from my entire post, but has to do with the Dove brand itself and I figure, since I’m a Dove Ambassador for this campaign, I can share how I feel about them and their approach to women!
Dove Body Wash Ambassador
I LOVE THEM!

Let me tamper that down…lol…I love them, that they understand us as women. None of us meets one stereotype of our body or our skin! I love seeing real women in their ads, they want to empower young girls so they feel good about themselves, and they want to make a difference in a way that’s palpable. I know I’m not the only one who recognizes this, but since this is my blog and this is an important topic for me, I wanted to make sure I got this out of my system. I feel so much better now! =)

Back to my experience…
Dove Body Wash
As you can see from my photo, I already use Dove Deep Moisture Body Wash, so I have real life experience with it. I didn’t have to wait to become a Brand Ambassador to have used it on my own. That’s what I love about partnering with companies I already use.

One of the Body Washes I am dying to try out is the Dove Winter Care Body Wash with NutriumMoisture. It’s only offered Oct-Mar so I think if I want to try it out I better get to finding it! Sounds like it would be heavenly!
Dove gofresh Body Wash
I also tried the Dove gofresh Cool Moisture Body Wash and loved it. It lathered up wonderfully as you can see in this photo and the fragrance was just right. It was like and delightful. The mix of cucumber and green tea were spot on!

*I wrote this review while participating in a Brand Ambassador Campaign by Mom Central Consulting on behalf of Dove and received products to facilitate my post and a promotional item to thank me for taking the time to participate.
