I’m not even close to being wordless this week. I don’t think I ever am. The first place we went to pick pumpkins had been completely picked over and these were pretty much all that was left:
We decided to go to a different pumpkin patch needless to say!
The next patch was MORE than just a patch…but…the boys weren’t having a good day, or weekend, so we didn’t do any of the amazing activities they had. All they did was pick pumpkins and off we went!
Does anyone else have days like that? You’re excited to go have fun, but the kids, yea, they’re not quite on board?
We did try to have some fun picking out the pumpkins. The fun just went way too fast. I have to admit, we still haven’t cut the pumpkins. No jack-o-lanterns this year I guess.
Fred was the calming force for the day, as usual! He grilled us burgers that night and took good care of us all!
Be sure to visit Full Time Mama’s Wordless Wednesday, too!
Wow, do people actually buy pumpkins with tons of growths on them?! lol I'm glad Fred was a calming force for you guys. Looks like, despite the short trip, you had a little fun at least. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm never wordless either, lol! Great pumpkins!
ReplyDeleteYup, I have those days all the time with my boys. It's disappointing when I plan out something I think they're going to love - and had it been a different day, they might have. SIgh.
ReplyDeleteNice photos full of colour but I do feel sorry for that lonely pumpkin LOL
ReplyDeleteHave a pumpkintastic week ;-)
Ok, those first pumpkins were really cool, and if you weren't planning on cutting them, maybe they would have been fine! LOL! They make just as good tasting pumpkin pies as the ones you did pick. Speaking of which, if you didn't cut them for jack-o-lanterns, you CAN cut them and bake them for pie! <3 you!
ReplyDeleteDo I ever have days like that? You bet your butt I do. Sometimes the kids, sometimes it's me. But it sounds like your night ended up pleasant so that's all that matters. PS I do NOT like those bumpy pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the warty pumpkins! They make great decorations, but not so much fun for carving. Glad you were able to find some good one though!
ReplyDeleteThe "weird" pumpkins are my favorite!!!
ReplyDeleteI am loving all that orange! Love those gourds too.
ReplyDeleteThe first pumpkin looks kind of gross. We carved our pumpkin early, the Sunday before, because hubby had to work the next 3 nights. It began to mold like the next day. I remember doing it early as a kid and it never molded. And yes we have had those days.
ReplyDeleteI love going to the pumpkin patch.... I dread the day my girls aren't as excited about it as I am.
