My Perfect Dream Vacation On This Dreary Wintry Day

I have to say, being in Maryland and not Minnesota in January is a very different experience! We’re used to having a wind so cold that when we walk out the door we can’t breathe and snow that doesn’t go away until the end of April. Here it’s completely brown. It’s cold, but not unlivable, just dreary.

So, now is about the time those of us from the colder states start thinking of where we’d rather be for at least a week! lol Now, my first choice would be to go back to Peru, but that wouldn’t be a vacation, but on a mission trip. I’ve thought of numerous places I’d want to go that’s super warm at this time of the year.

• Tahiti
• St. Martin
• Bahamas

Really, it’s a never ending list warm destinations. Right now, as a family, I’d love for Fred and I to take all of our kids to Disney World for a week. My boys and I haven’t been there for 10 yrs, which means my doodle was 9 months old. The little guy hasn’t had the fun the rest of us had. Also, Buddy is going to be 15 this summer. I feel like he’s getting to the age where he might lose the magic he would’ve had 2-3 yrs ago. I’ve REALLY wanted to go back the last couple of years and hope (again) that THIS will be the summer we can make it there.

Now, if Fred and I could go somewhere (married of course) I’d probably want to go to some sunny and exotic location neither of us has been to. Fred’s traveled a lot so it would be an interested elimination of destinations!

Maybe Australia? He loves food on the barby! Yea, I have no idea how to spell “barby”! Oh, did I mention he’s IN Miami for the week? Yea, the dude has it rough! My daughter went to Guatemala..twice I think? She loved it there and swam with the dolphins! Now THAT I could handle.
