Last week was an extremely stressful week for my oldest daughter. After three and a half years to get her Bachelor’s Degree, and two years to get her Master’s Degree, she took her licensure exam to become a social worker! Being that she’s 23, she hasn’t had a lot of real life experience in the field. The past six months she’s been working at a hospital learning to do social work as an intern. Even with that under her belt, she knew it wasn’t going to be an easy exam.
Now, that being said, she’s done amazing in school. She has always gone above and beyond what an instructor has asked for, and in some instances received a score higher than what was available. She would call me stressed out about a paper and then instead of getting 100 on it, she’d get 110. lol That girl has always worked so hard for all of her good grades. It’s never come easy to her.
Since the start of the year, I’ve been praying for her test. Praying that her anxiety would be lessened, and that she would have rest. If you have a child in college, you know that high anxiety and little rest is a very common thing. Have I mentioned she works at an elementary school, answers phones at an engineering firm, interns at the hospital, and is a student. As a mom, I can’t wait until she gets a job in her field and will be able to have down time that she’s probably needed for the past 7-8 yrs! She was the same when she was in high school.
She’ll be graduating May 22nd, which is the same day my second daughter comes home after being gone on her almost year long mission trip, and it’s Fred’s birthday! I’m SO incredibly sad that I won’t be able to be there to see her graduate. The mom guilt is huge, to say the least. I also wasn’t sure what to get her as a graduation gift. When The Motherhood asked me if I would work with them and Church Hill Classics, with a review of one of their frames for my daughter’s diploma, no way I could resist!
I had a feeling it was going to be a little tricky because she’s going to two colleges. I don’t know how to explain it. I guess they’re brother/sister colleges? It took some going back and forth with her, and her talking to one of her friends to find out exactly where her degree would be coming from. I guess every other year, the students graduate from the other college. She sent me a photo of a friend of hers who got the same degree she did this past year. It had BOTH colleges on the diploma.
I ended up emailing Church Hill Classics because I wasn’t sure which frame to even go with since they have both colleges. So many selections between frames, mats, color-enameled medallions, beautiful campus images, foil embossing of the school name and/or seal and even an opening for a tassel. I wasn’t sure of which college she would even want for a frame. Turns out emailing was THE best thing I could do! The response was immediate. I sent an email late at night explaining where my daughter was graduating from, and sent an image of her friend’s diploma. The customer service gal replied immediately, and said she was going to share my quandary with her colleagues, but didn’t think I’d be able to get what I was looking for. Lo and behold, they had a frame with BOTH colleges!! I was so thrilled by her response!
Well, I’m happy to report that my daughter passed her exam last week! I never doubted for a moment that she would, but I’m really happy she has that behind her. This past week I also got the frame for her diploma. Do you ever shop online for something and not really pay attention to EH-VERY detail? heh heh heh Let’s just say I MAY have missed the part that explained how large the frame was. I mean, I went through all of the frame choices, picked out her mat, and upgraded the glass.
When the frame showed up, my jaw dropped! This thing puts any other frame I’ve ever seen to shame! NOT. KIDDING. It’s H-U-G-E! Her frame is no shrinking violet. And it’s gorgeous. I don’t think anyone else graduating from that college will have as nice of a diploma frame as her. It’s absolutely going to have a prominent place in any home she ever lives in.
If you have a loved one graduating this year, this is definitely the gift to go with! Can you imagine their diploma, that they’ve worked so hard for, sitting in some drawer? Did you know that 56% of respondents to a survey by The Motherhood said they haven’t framed their diploma? Years from now, the cash that was tucked away in an envelope will be spent and forgotten. A customized frame will fit your graduate’s personal style! Church Hill Classics has over 1,500 colleges and universities to choose from. Go find yours.

I'd love the Church Hill Classic Frame (love the recycled wood, too!)
That's a beautiful frame. I always want to spend a lot on frames but I hang so many. I go to antique shops for mine; I love that look. Congrats to your daughter.
The Thomas Edison State College Single Document Frame, because I graduate from their this Fall!
Congrats to your daughter on passing her last exam! Here's hoping she gets that down time she so richly deserves - and needs! My daughter is in high school and she spreads herself thin - works and is in a bunch of clubs - I don't ever recall being that way when I was her age - but she says it makes her happy!
This frame is stunning - definitely a head above the rest! Thanks for hosting this amazing giveaway!
I would chose the USAF frame !!! I would be so grateful !!!!!! TY
That is awesome! My friend finished her BA in SW many years ago. A few years ago she went for her Masters and during that time she got pregnant, got married, had a baby with some minor medical problems, had their house flooded, lost her job and somehow a few months after all that slowed down handed in her final thesis and obtained her degree. She is so blessed that the professors and school were willing to work with her through all her troubles. I got my MBA in 2013 and neither my BA or MBA have a frame! I need two!
Congrats to your daughter. Such a great accomplishment, I'm sure you are one proud Mom!
That is a really beautiful frame! She's going to love it! My daughter will graduate next year but hasn't any idea what she wants to do after HS yet. I keep telling her that it's okay but she gets so stressed about it.
